Description of Home: Set in a private sub-tropical oasis right behind Titirangi
Village, and
within 30 minutes from Auckland airport and the city.. 'The Ferns' offers the privacy of a
charming self catering 2-bedroom guest cottage, or a homely bed and breakfast in the main
house. Walk to village cafes, galleries and bush walks or enjoy the peaceful bays of the
Manukau Harbour nearby, and the
dramatic west coast beaches thirty minutes by car.

night with a minimum two night stay (seasonal); or The Chalet (self contained guest

Description of People: Kate and Chris now enjoy the peace and beauty of this
special area known as 'The Waitakere Ranges' with its wonderful birdlife and native trees.
Both have travelled extensively, but now settled down in our nirvana. Enjoy wine, food,
music, books, walking on the beach with 'Tosh" (the West Highland Terrier).
Occupations/Interests: Semi Retired, mainly enjoying meeting our visitors and
assisting in making their stay a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Also involved in
the Tourism activities for the area.
Comments / Attractions: Located in the lush Waitakere Ranges, 30 minutes west of
Auckland City. Large wilderness parkland with walking trails, beaches, waterfalls,
vineyards, cafes and galleries. Kayaking, abseiling, golf, surfing.
