Description of Home: The farmstay with a view, snugly placed in a spacious garden with well established trees. Situated at Ngakuru, 20 miles south of Rotorua. It is an ideal vacation base for visiting the thermal active reserves and experiencing the Maori Cultural activities of the Rotorua region. Our clinker brick-clad homestead, in its tranquil country setting, offers panoramic views of hills, mountains, lake and lush farmland. 'Te Ana' is a 569 acre dairy, sheep and deer farm bounded by Lake Ohakuri for 1.5 miles. A rod and canoe are available (a Rotorua fishing licence is required).

Guests will be greeted at our front door by Sam, our adorable Jack Russell puppy. Other pets include two cats (not in the living areas), farm dogs, Sam (of course), trout and adult children who come and go. 

We have a smoke free home but guests are welcome to sit on the verandah if they wish to smoke. 

Our interests include an ever expanding garden, interior decorating, reading, travel, hunting, hosting and the great outdoors. 

A small two-bedroom cottage with ensuite bathroom, ideal for Honey Mooners and Parents with Young Children, is set in the garden. The Homestead offers a queen bedroom with share facilities and a twin bedroom with private ensuite. Coffee and tea making facilities and a cosy TV lounge and reading room adjacent formal lounge with log fire completes the peaceful atmosphere.
