Description of Home: Old Omahuta school converted into house approx 10yrs ago. 5 bedrooms, one bathroom.separate toilet, open plan living on quiet rural road; on hill overlooking a beautiful dairy farming valley; kauri walks in the Omahuta forest and Puketi forest. Great for mountain biking, probably able to jack up horse treks, pig hunting with locals. Swimming holes 5 min walk, situated on edge of hokianga harbour.1/2 hour drive to east coast (Whangaroa) through forestry road. 35 min drive to Kerikeri or Kaitaia. Fully self contained.

Waipoua forest across the other side of the harbour by vehicle ferry from Kohukohu. Mountain biking, horse trekking, hunting birds, pigs and goats. Beautiful hokianga harbour. North to Ahipara and Ninety Mile Beach.
